Illumichat offers you the chance to help guide people directly towards your channel on our network. Using the Link Generator below, you can get a direct URL address which you can give out on your own website, or directly to people you chat with elsewhere.
The Link Generator will produce a link which will bring potential chatters to the Java Login page, with your channel details filled in automatically. All they have to do is come up with a Nickname if they wish, and click Connect! Its as easy as that.
Users must be able to use Java Applets to be able to connect to Illumichat via our Java Chat client. If you find people are having trouble connecting, make sure that their security settings on either their browser or any other firewall software etc is allowing them to run Java Applets.
Users can expect to see a Security dialog box appear to confirm that they are happy for the Java Applet to run on their system. We are using the PJIRC applet and users are welcome to visit their website to gain details and check suitability.
